COMMITTEE MEETING – 13 APRIL 2010

The Minutes of the meeting held on the 2nd March 2010 were approved.
Missed from the March Minutes.Representatives from Aston University attended the meeting regarding the behaviour of players and supporters during a recent match. As a
result Aston University are fined £50, but this is suspended until the end of the 2010/2011 season pending their future conduct.
Please see Appeals below regarding these fines.
4.1 Referees have been appointed to all games in April.
4.2 Summer League – referees have been appointed.
4.3 We have a new referee moved to Birmingham & he is already doing games for us. Welcome to Benas Januskevicius.

WM281 Aston University v WM Police. Aston University failed to have enough players available to start their home game. Rule 6f applies. Game awarded to WM Police 20 -0. No point Aston University. Both match officials arrived but only one was paid. Aston University fined £25 + referee expenses of £22.
WM 170 Lasers v Stoke. Cancelled less than 7 days by Stoke. Rule 3ciii applies. Game awarded to Lasers 20-0. No point Stoke. Stoke fined £10.
WM 362 Featherstone v Worcester University. Game cancelled by e-mail by Worcester University less than 24 hours notice. Rule 6f applies. Game awarded to Featherstone 20-0.
No point Worcester University. Worcester University fined £25 + referee expenses & fees £30.
WM 198. B’ham Mets v Worcester. Worcester cancelled game less than 7 days due to insufficient players available. Game awarded to Mets 20-0. No point Worcester. Rule 3ciii applies Worcester fined £10.

All outstanding fixtures have been rescheduled and the league programme will be completed on time. Many thanks to all clubs who have co-operated with the rearrangement
of fixtures.
At the March Committee meeting players from Aston University - A. Vladimirov & S. Murray were suspended for 6 games. At present they have missed only 1 game, therefore
they are suspended for the first 5 games of season 2010/2011.
Finally, some 2 weeks after the final closing date 9 clubs entered. A ballot was held between the last 2 clubs to enter for the final place. The 8 competing clubs have full match and rules details. The event starts on Tuesday 4th May and will run for 7 consecutive weeks at Leasowes Sports Centre commencing at 8pm prompt.
Monies Received.
Summer League. Two clubs have paid the full fee. The remaining 6 clubs have paid their deposit and the balance to be paid on the first night.

Please note that ALL outstanding fines and expenses MUST be paid by 31 May for clubs to be accepted into the league for season 2010/2011.
10.1 Regarding the Assessment for fines above, of 51 games
played, there were 10 missing sheets – an average of 19%
10.2 The following teams have received a poor conduct mark from Referees during Feb:
Walsall Wiz A in WM 238. Shropshire B in WM 259. Old Sils in WM 259. Wolves CC in WM 267.
10.3 Appeals were heard from G. Dixon and J. Harrison, see 2.1 and 2.2 above. Both appeals were upheld and no further action was deemed
necessary.
11. Any Other Business
11.1 Date of Annual General Meeting. It is anticipated that the AGM will take place on 15 June 2010 prior to the Final of the Summer League. The date will be published when this is confirmed.
11.2 Clubs are reminded that application forms for next season must be completed and returned to the Secretary by 31 May 2010.
11.3 The Secretary is to make contact with T. Morgan Marshalls and NPV Rockets who dropped out of the League at the beginning of the season to see
whether they wish to compete next season.
12. Date of Next Meeting
The next Committee meeting will take place on Tuesday 4 May 2010 in Room 45 at Leasowes Sports Centre, Kent Road, Halesowen, at 6.30pm prompt.
