7.

Appeals (Tony Johnson)

An appeal was heard from Anita Renton, West Mids Police against a 6 match ban and fine. After considering reports and a personal statement from Rob Goodwin the appeal was partially upheld and was reduced to a three match ban and a £10 fine.

8.
Any Other Business

8.1 Barrie Viner sought clarification on rule 2ciii (Senior National League registered Players must have played 3 WMBL or Rosebowl
games before Christmas otherwise their WMBL registrations will be cancelled)
as a key member of Bears who has been with the club for many years has been unable to comply with the rule and now faces missing the rest of the season. Barrie suggested that the rule be changed to the end of January, due to the late start of the League. For the time being the rule stands and an alteration will be proposed at the AGM. The Secretary was asked to check other teams with National League players to ensure the rule is complied with.

8.2 Tony Johnson presented a report on the results of the recent questionnaire (attached). Tom Sunley (Warriors 01952 505865
sunley dot tom at btinternet dot com ) and Nigel Hanson (Aston A’s 0121681514 nigel dot hanson at mobileemail dot vodafone dot net) have massive experience in obtaining funding, and have both offered to advise clubs on the different sources from where funding can be obtained. It was clear from the results that the more financially secure clubs are those who get involved in local schools with coaching etc, as a trade off for reduced fees, and this also provides a source for future players which will hopefully ensure the future of clubs.

9.
Date of Next Meeting

The next Committee meeting will take place on Tuesday 3rd February 2009 in Room 45 at Leasowes Sports Centre, Kent Road, Halesowen at 6.30pm prompt.
