WEST MIDLANDS BASKETBALL LEAGUE

41st ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

TUESDAY 14 JUNE 2006

1. Chairman's Report:

Apologies were received from Mike Steel-Chase A&B, Mike Heath- Stoke, Elaine White- Aston A's, Martin Bromage-Griffiths, Chris Broadmore-Swinfen Hall, Dave Fennell-Barton, Mark Harrison-Warriors, Dave Bradshaw-Redditch and Jim Smith.

All parties attending signed in on entry to the A.G.M.

Mike opened the meeting thanking all officers for their work over the past year, and in particular Jane Huffer who had unravelled the finances, and Mark Harrison for his work on the website.

2. Minutes of Previous A.G.M.

Copies of the Minutes of the 40th A.G.M. were circulated with the document package issued to all upon arrival. The Minutes were approved and signed by the Chairman. There were no matters arising.

3. Officers' Reports:

Written reports were circulated and accepted by those present.

4. Allocation of Honoraria:

The Honoraria will remain at its present level for the forthcoming season.

5. New Clubs:

Old Edwardians addressed the meeting with a view to joining the League, and were accepted as a new team.

6. Approval of Divisions:

The Committee have invited the following teams to form the Premier Division:

Aston A's: Black Country Bears: Chase Panthers A: Great Barr Lasers: Kidderminster: Redditch Regents: Shropshire Warriors: Warley A: West Midlands Police: Wolverhampton C.C. Stoke.

The remaining Leagues will be formulated by a Sub Committee when all remaining teams are known.

Treasurer - Jane Huffer

Committee members: Anthony Johnson: Jim Smith: John Taylor: Barrie Viner: Nigel Evans: Dave Percy, Stephen Barnes and Kevin Henry.

Wolves C.C. - Runners up

Stoke- Div 1 Winners

Balkan Express- Div 2 Winners

- Runners up

Wolves C.C. - Rosebowl

Balkan Express - Stanley Pears Trophy

Mac Fessall Award-Geoff Garwood

Bernard Patrick Award -Ian Spears

Junior players award.

10. Player Registration:

It was pointed out to teams and officials the importance of the insurance cover which comes with registration numbers, and it was once more re-iterated that players/officials could not participate without a registration number.

There was no "any other business".

12. Date of Next Annual General Meeting:

The date of the next A.G.M. will be on Tuesday 12th June 2007.
